Rivot Motors is a Belagavi based electric scooter manufacturer. Established in the year 2019 by Ajit Patil who is also a CEO of the company. It is focused on ultra-long range with superfast charging technology.
It is observed that many of us are still not turning for electric vehicles. So, team at Rivot Motors says that major reason would be the range anxiety and no quick or superfast recharging. To increase the range issue, we can increase the battery capacity but when battery drains there is no quick way of recharging like how we do with traditional petrol scooters which bothers many.
Increasing battery capacity would increase the initial purchasing cost of the vehicle which will definitely makes difficult to those who want to switch to clean energy.
Hence NX100 of Rivot Motors comes, which has a solution for both issues. The scooter can have a range of 200km+ and will be available at the same price as that of petrol versions. It will be able to get refueled or recharged at refueling stations just like how petrol vehicles are done currently.
NX100 has a magnificent design and most advanced features. Official website RIVOT Motors depicts it runs like a Cheetah, range like a Nile River and looks like a Mandarin fish. A custom hinge mechanism for seat lock and a tap sensor, it detects who is the rider based on age and sets the scooter in various parameters. Regenerative braking, charging wire retracting mechanism and many more. This scooter is going to be a game changer in Indian two-wheeler EV segment and makes Belagavi proud.
The company has been doing Research and Development to add even more advanced technologies and make it outstanding vehicle. To understand the public need, recently Rivot Motors’s twitter handler posted a question “How far does your electric two-wheeler travel per kWh (kilowatt hour) of energy (any chemistry is fine)?” for which public have reacted accordingly.
Currently it is a small team working in its Belgaum plant where Ajit Patil is a founder, along with Rivot Motors he has also founded FAAST (Broadband services) and OutOfBox Cloud (Hosting provider), Janakiram Endi a Product designer and development, Erun Kinikar an Embedded engineer and Sumit Adhikari an Automotive designer.
