Mamaearth becomes profitable, reports INR 1000 crore

This growth of Mamaearth happened because of a few key factors –

1) Increase in repeat percentage of orders. This helped Mamaearth to retain customers and analyse feedback.

2) Increased proliferation of online & offline channels. At present, Mamaearth derives 70% sales from various online mediums and the remainder of its 30% of sales from its offline channels.

3) Decreasing expenses. Presently, Mamaearth is one of the few startups in India that has managed to control and decrease its expenses in the Financial Year 2022. Statistically speaking, Mamaearth managed to bring down its revenue by 48%, owing to a decline in its miscellaneous expenses.

Additionally, Mamaearth has been on an acquiring spree. It acquired a mammoth stake in Dr. Seth’s, a skincare brand, against a valuation of INR 28 crore. Before this deal, it had acquired Bblunt, a hair colour brand from Godrej Consumers. Simultaneously, it also acquired Momspresso.
